He kinda said both:
"Fall from this height. There is no chance of survival. It seemed her body had already been carried away by a spirit beast"
I took "body" meant corpse, because why say "there is no chance of survival" after "Fall from this height" instead of after "had already been carried away by a spirit beast". If a spirit beast had taken her, a high fall or not she would still be eaten because she was paralyzed by drugs.
Also, spirit beasts didn't find her, probably because she was in the water, and he didn't consider that possibility, he didn't think to check under the water. It's also possible that the spirit beasts around generally only grab dead bodies and not living bodies, idk

His words don't match all his actions though, why even go try looking for them in the first place then if he "knew" they couldn't survive the fall, unless he down with necrophilia 🤨...or he just was that angry he wanted to beat and tamper with their corpses smh. Psychopaths, let me tell ya.

And once he saw the MC survived, he knew his logic failed him and his info wasn't correct. but why wouldn't he check in the water for her if she did survive??
